Using the toolbar
The toolbar (item (2) on the 'main screen layout')
is positioned just below the main menu. The buttons on it can be clicked to
perform various tasks, as listed below :

- New - create a new BattleMap (see 'Creating,
loading and saving BattleMaps')
- Open - open an existing BattleMap (see 'Creating,
loading and saving BattleMaps')
- Save - save the current BattleMap (see 'Creating,
loading and saving BattleMaps')
- Zoom in - increase the magnification (see 'Changing
the view of the map')
- Zoom out - decrease the magnification (see 'Changing
the view of the map')
- Zoom amount - shows the current magnification, and allows
you to set a new magnification (see 'Changing the view
of the map')
- Step back - shows the previous phase (see 'Changing
phase position')
- Start - starts the slideshow (see 'Viewing
the slideshow')
- Stop - stops the slideshow (see 'Viewing
the slideshow')
- Step forward - shows the next phase (see 'Changing
phase position')
- Measurement - use the measure tool to find a distance
(see 'Measuring and setting distances')
- Undo - reverse the last object change (see 'Moving,
rotating and re-sizing objects, on-screen')
